The NI-9214 (Part number: 781510-01) is a Temperature Input Module from the C Series manufactured by National Instruments. This module comes with a built-in system to enable the count mechanism for the higher channels. The NI-9214 C Series Temperature Input Module has various accessories available. These accessories include a terminal block which is isothermal and a detailed user guide. The NI 9214 module also offers an exceptional sample rate of 68 samples per second.
The NI-9214 Temperature Input Module has one internal autozero channel, which increases measurement accuracy. Use of the autozero channel is non-compulsory. The module can be used in two modes. For optimized accuracy and noise rejection, high-resolution timing mode gives better results. If fast sampling and high bandwidth are required, high-speed timing mode is recommended. The NI-9214 module has the maximum power consumption of 300 mW in active mode. In sleep mode, the maximum power consumption reduces to 30 μW.
The NI-9214 is run using the NI-DAQmx driver software which is compatible with software packages/application development environments (ADEs) such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, LabVIEW FPGA Module, LabVIEW Real-Time Module, ANSI C, and .NET. The device can be self-tested using the NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool.
