National Instruments PCI-1200 Multifunction DAQ

The National Instruments PCI-1200 (Part Numbers: 777386-01 and 777097-01) is a high-performance, low-cost multifunction digital, analog, and timing device designed for PCI bus computers. This device comes with eight Analog Input (AI) channels that can be configured as either four differential or eight single-ended inputs with a maximum sampling rate of 100 kS/s, a 12-bit successive-approximation type A/D converter (ADC), two 12-bit DACs with voltage outputs, 24 lines of TTL-compatible DIO, and three 16-bit timer/counters for timing I/O.

The PCI 1200 National Instruments is offered with NI-DAQ which has a comprehensive library of functions that can be called by the user from the ADE. These functions enable users to utilize the entire features of the Multifunction DAQ. National Instruments offers a broad range of optional products to use with this device, including: connector blocks, RTSI bus cables, 68-pin screw, and 50-pin shielded terminals, SCXI modules, etc. It is equipped with a 50-pin male I/O connector. The PCI 1200 Board is entirely software configurable and compliant with the PCI Local Bus Specs, Rev 2.2. All device resources are allocated automatically by the system itself. For this Multifunction DAQ, the allocations of resources include the interrupt level and base memory address. Thus, the user will not require any configuration steps after booting the system.

After a software level reset or upon power-up, the National Instruments PCI-1200 DAQ Board is set to bipolar ±5 V Analog Input range and bipolar ±5 V Analog Output range. This model offers two channels of Analog Output voltage, allowing users to configure each analog output. Thus, users will be able to configure each one of the two AO output channels for either bipolar or unipolar output. The device has a power consumption value of 425 mA at +5 VDC. The NI device weighs 1.7 lb, and measures 6.9 x 4.2 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 to 50 °C, and a storage temperature range of.–55 to 150 °C.

PCI-1200 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but it is still available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
