National Instruments PXI-5663 Vector Signal Analyzer
The NI PXI-5663 is an RF Vector Signal Analyzer. This model comes with a frequency range of 10 MHz to 6.6 GHz. This model offers automated testing and can perform measurements at a significantly improved rate. The National Instruments PXI-5663 is a combination of three separate instruments; the PXI-5652, the NI PXI-5601, and the PXI-5622. The PXI-5652 is a local oscillator module; the PXI-5601 is a downconverter whereas the PXI-5622 is an IF digitizer. The input range of this model can vary from 0.7 Vpp to 1.4 Vpp.
In this model, an RF signal is downconverted by the downconverter module to an intermediate frequency. The LO source is a CW (continuous wave) source which utilizes a voltage-controlled oscillator architecture for ultra-fast frequency turning speeds. This vector signal analyzer is based on a synchronization architecture that is found in several PXI modular instruments. Thus, the sharing of trigger and timing signals between a broad range of modular type PXI instruments and the NI PXI-5663 is not an issue.
Being a single-stage Radio Frequency vector signal analyzer, the National Instruments PXI-5663 can be considered as an ideal solution for testing setups in which the device under test is connected through cables. With this model, you will be able to achieve common modulation and spectral measurements about 30 times faster than other similar instruments available on the market. Moreover, the availability of multicore CPUs and more processing power brings faster spectrum analysis. The National Instruments NI PXI-5663 supports various RF playback applications as well.
