National Instruments PCI-5102 Digitizer/Oscilloscope
The National Instruments PCI-5102 (Part Number: 777304-01) is a 20 MS/s, 2 channel Digitizer for PCI. With this model, the user can create a better performing, faster-automated test system at a relatively low cost. The PCI-5102 is a suitable choice to be used in a high-speed DAQ (data acquisition) system. This model comes featured with 2 analog input channels, each with 15 MHz of analog input bandwidth.
This Digitizer supports software selectable attenuation and can operate with an input voltage range from ±50 mV to ±5 Volts. In addition, the user can extend the PCI-5102 Digitizer’s voltage range up to ±50 V with the help of attenuating probes. The signal measurement capability can also be improved through software-selectable AC or DC coupling. This device comes equipped with a pair of 8-bit, 20 MS/s flash ADCs to achieve quick digitization of the input signals. The user can take advantage of user RIS (random-interleaved) sampling to obtain an extension up to 1 GS/s in the effective sampling rate. This Digitizer has an onboard acquisition memory that can hold around 663,000 samples. The data is first acquired into the integrated, built-in memory, then transferred to the host personal computer (PC) memory. The device is run using the NI-DMM driver software.
The National Instruments PCI-5102 is designed to transfer samples to host memory in real time. This device features multiple sophisticated triggering options, such as hysteresis values, programmable trigger thresholds, bi-level triggering, and trigger hold off not only on the input channels, but dedicated trigger channels as well. This model allows the user to define how many samples should be acquired before and after any trigger event. There are also two TTL/CMOS digital triggers for synchronizing numerous instruments. When the user synchronizes multiple devices, several of the advantages include: timing the acquisition of numerous instruments with the same sample clock and triggering numerous instruments with one trigger. The NI device measures 4.2 x 6.87 in. in physical dimensions.
PCI-5102 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
The PCI-5102 is available to be calibrated. While the recommended calibration period for individual parts varies, most parts should be calibrated either annually or every two years to ensure accuracy. If you need the PCI-5102 calibrated, Apex Waves provides options. We offer high-quality NIST accredited calibrations through a 3rd party, with an average turnaround time of 1 to 2 weeks. When you order the PCI-5102 with us, you can request basic (unaccredited) in-house calibration that will calibrate the part to the manufacturer specifications prior to being shipped. Call or email us today for more information about calibrating the PCI-5102!
