National Instruments PCI-5112 Digitizer

The PCI-5112 is a Digital Oscilloscope board. This is a product from National Instruments. The bandwidth of this device is up to 100 MHz. The NI PCI-5112 also has a real time sample rate up to 100 MS/s. The NI PCI-5112 comes with two on board sample memory options. The first option is 16 MB per channel (Part number: 778076-01) and the second is 32 MB per channel with Multi-Record Capture Mode (Part number: 778073-01).

The NI PCI 5112 Digitizer comes with a calibrated vertical range of ±25 mV to ±25 Volts. It is in offered with steps value of 10%. It also features offset ranges that are calibrated.  It has the vertical range of ±500 milli-volt. The DC accuracy of the NI PCI-5112 is ±2.5%. This value corresponds to the range setting. The value for offset setting is ±0.5%. The device has power requirements of 0.5 A at +3.3 VDC, 1.5 A at +5 VDC, 80 mA at +12 VDC, and 120 mA at -12 VDC.

The NI PCI-5112 has two simultaneously single ended sampled channels. The NI PCI-5112 Digitizer obtains and processes large waveforms faster than similar GPIB-based instruments. As a result, individuals can make measurements faster. This can be set with the NI Scope Configure Chan Characteristics VI. It has 100 µs to 171.79 s hold off time. The trigger resolution is 1,000 steps and is the same across the voltage range for the full-scale. The NI device is equipped with 2 BNC female, 1 SMB female, and a 9-pin DIN I/O connector.

The physical dimensions of the NI PCI-5112 are 10 cm x 17.5 cm. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 °C to 40 °C, and a storage temperature range of –20 °C to 70 °C . The humidity level should be between 10% and 90%, noncondensing. The NI PCI 5112 also complies with all the requirements of European Directives. The device has a recommended warm-up time of 15 minutes, and should be calibrated at least once every year.
