National Instruments PXI-5105 PXI Oscilloscope

The NI PXI-5105 (Part Numbers: 195855B-02L, 779685-01, 779685-02, 779685-03) is a high-resolution digitizer and comes in three different models: the PXI-5105 16 MB digitizer (Part Number: 779685-01), the PXI-5105 128 MB digitizer (Part Number: 779685-02), and the PXI-5105 512 MB digitizer (Part Number: 779685-03). This PXI Oscilloscope comes equipped with eight 60 MS/s simultaneously sampled input channels with 12-bit resolution and 60 MHz transmission capacity in a 3U PXI gadget.

This model uses the National Instruments Synchronization and Memory Core (SMC) technology, so the user can consolidate various gadgets to develop 136 phase-coherent channels in one PXI chassis. The user can additionally synchronize a NI PXI 5105 with other digital and analog devices to make mixed signal test systems. This PXI Oscilloscope is perfect for an extensive variety of uses, such as ultrasonic nondestructive test (NDT), medical imaging, scientific research, military/aviation, and consumer devices.

The PXI 5105 Digitizer can be inserted into a PXI peripheral slot or a PXI Express Hybrid peripheral slot. This PXI Oscilloscope requires a PXI chassis, a PXI/CompactPCI chassis, or a PXI/SCXI combination chassis with a controller for operation. The PXI 5105 is run on the NI-SCOPE driver software is installed after the previous installation of an Application Development Environment–LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Measurement Studio, Microsoft Visual C/C++, .NET (C# and VB.NET). This unit can be used with NI Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) to configure the Oscilloscope. MAX informs the different programs about which gadgets reside in the framework and how they are arranged (MAX is automatically installed with NI-SCOPE).

This model offers pre-trigger and post-trigger acquisition in single and multiple record mode, an internal 60 MHz clock or outside clock from 4 to 65 MHz, a phase bolt to PXI 10 MHz reference or outside reference from 1 to 20 MHz, timestamp-triggered events with 100 ps resolution, and >72 dBc of spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR). The PXI-5105 has 2 SMB jack connector types. The device has an operating temperature of 0 °C to 55 °C. Also, device calibration should be carried out at least once a year.
