National Instruments USB-5133 Oscilloscope
The National Instruments USB-5133 (Part numbers: 780469-01, 779970-01, 780469-02, 779970-02, 780469-03) is a portable, 50 MHz Bandwidth, 8-Bit, 2-Channel USB Oscilloscope Device. The onboard clock incorporated in this device can acquire samples at a rate of 1.526 kS/s to 100 MS/s. In addition, the NI USB-5133 can also be coupled with a 1 MHz to 100 MHz external sample clock through a PFI line. The programmable function interface (PFI) of the USB-5133 is a bidirectional BNC connector, which can also be used as an input (trigger) and as an output (event).
By physical attributes, the NI USB-5133 is a simple device with both of its analog channel connectors and PFI connector mounted on the front panel. A recessed USB port and an LED type power indicator are provided on the back panel. The National Instruments USB-5133 weighs around 8.6 oz. and has physical dimensions of 18.49 cm × 3.38 cm × 10.29 cm. The NI USB-5133 driver is NI-SCOPE 3.4 and later versions. This USB Oscilloscope is designed to operate within an ambient temperature range of 0 °C to 45 °C and can only be operated indoors.
The USB-5133 requires only 10 minutes for a complete warmup. This device has a software supported self-calibration provision as well. However, the self-calibration can be considered for the correction of offset errors only. As far as its power requirements are concerned, the National Instruments NI USB-5133 consumes 1.15 watts of power (typical) while operating. For powering up the USB-5133 Oscilloscope, the user can have it connected to their PC or Laptop`s USB port via the standard USB cable provided.
