Featured with a dedicated, 24-bit Delta-Sigma type ADC per channel, the National Instruments NI-9244 (Part Number: 783106-01) is a Voltage Input Module. This model offers three single-ended, simultaneously sampled AI channels. The NI-9244 can acquire samples at 50 kS/s per channel and has a broad analog input range of 800 Vrms L-L. This device is offered with screw-terminal connectivity. In typical conditions, it incurs 6 mVrms maximum input noise. For rejecting out-of-band signals effectively, the NI 9244 uses a combination of digital and analog filters – an arrangement to separate signals on basis of their frequency or bandwidth.
The NI-9244 supports DC input coupling. The input impedance, Neutral-to-Ground, and AIx-to-Ground remain around 2 MΩ. This Voltage Input Module comes with an integrated protection mechanism, designed to cater 800 Vrms continuous overvoltage and 1000 Vrms for 1 s. Moreover, the NI 9244 has been tested to withstand 8 kV voltage surge for 1.2 µs/50 µs. While operating at 50 kS/s3, the N-Earth and L-Earth input noise encountered remains around 4.22 mVrms, whereas the L-N and L-L input noise remain around 6 mVrms.
The NI-9244 is run using the NI-DAQmx driver software which is compatible with software packages/application development environments (ADEs) such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, ANSI C, or .NET.
