National Instruments PXIe-4492 PXI Sound and Vibration Module

The PXIe-4492 (Part Number: 781490-01) is a highly precise data acquisition (DAQ) module particularly intended for sound and vibration applications. With eight simultaneously sampled analog input channels in a single PXI Express module, the NI PXIe-4492 has adaptable channel arrangement. This module provides satisfactory channels to most single-framework noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) tests. In addition, if the module is modified with NI-DAQmx driver software, then the data acquisition code is the same for 1 channel, 16 channels, or 272 channels. This means the user can demonstrate ideas and expand later to bigger frameworks if required. For much bigger noise mapping microphone arrays, dynamic structural test, or data streaming applications, the user can synchronize more than 13,000 channels in a multi-chassis PXI Express framework. The device has a high pass filter cutoff frequency of 0.5 Hz.

The NI PXIe-4492 Sound and Vibration Module includes 4X InfiniBand analog I/O connectors. The 4X InfiniBand is generally utilized as a part of elite processing applications, since it gives superb signal integrity with a shield plate between the input signal pairs. NI offers two cabling options for this module: a shielded breakout cable with 8 BNC connectors and a 19 in. rack-mount adapter with 32 BNC connectors. The rack-mount connector acknowledges signals from as many as four NI PXIe-4492 modules.

This PXI Sound and Vibration Module has 204.8 kS/s maximum sample rate, two gain settings, and AC/DC analog input coupling.
