Tektronix TLA5000 Series Analyzers


The Tektronix RSA300 series gives real time spectrum analysis, streaming capture, and deep signal analysis by using a combination of a PC and Tektronix SignalVu-PC™ RF Signal Analysis Software.  The Tektronix RSA300 series has a frequency range of 9 KHz to 6.2 GHz, encompasses a broad range of analysis needs, and is suitable for academics, maintenance, installation and repair in a factory or field, design and manufacturing, and interference hunting. The RSA306B is the replacement for the RSA306, but many of the specifications and features have stayed the same. The measurement range still encompasses +20 dBm to -160 dBm for both models. The RSA306B has 17 spectrum and signal analysis measurement displays, while the RSA306 has 27 standard measurements. Both models also come fully equipped with: options for mapping, modulation analysis, and WLAN and Bluetooth standards support. The Tektronix RSA300 series has other useful features, such as: a MATLAB instrument driver for use with Instrument Control Toolbox, pulse measurements, application programming interface included for Microsoft Windows, frequency settling, and a streamlining capture option to save and record ongoing events. The Tektronix RSA300 series is built to last, with shock and vibration specifications to endure being transported or used in rugged conditions.


 The Tektronix RSA3000B Spectrum Analyzer series has much to offer engineers occupied with components, RF system design, integration and performance confirmation, or operations engineers who are employed in network or spectrum management. The RSA500 series also comes equipped with SignalVu-Pc software, which gives an analysis ability never before accessible in battery-operated models such as these. SignalVu-Pc software comes equipped with: a spectrum analyzer, signal recording, a DPX spectrum/spectrogram, time overview/navigator, signal recording, spurious measurement capabilities, a spectrum emission mask, AM, FM, PM analysis, signal strength with audio tone, and a multitude of other beneficial features that will enable users to cut down on testing times, record more accurate results, and best of all, they will not want to go back to using any other type of analyzer.


 The Tektronix RSA5100B series includes several Real-time Signal and Spectrum Analyzers. A few of the standard features of the Signal Analyzers are: the ability to decrease time-to-fault and increase design confidence with real-time signal processing, measurements such as channel power, ACLR, CCDF, OBW/EBW, spur search, and Emi detectors, amplitude, frequency, phase vs. time, DPX spectrum, and spectrograms, and correlated multi-domain displays. The operating temperature range for the Tektronix RSA5100B series is +10 to +40 degrees C. The RSA5100B series also has various advanced operating techniques, such as: power triggering, frequency edge triggering, frequency mask triggering, DPX density triggering, runt triggering, and time qualified triggering. There are two different modes while setting up and selecting a triggering type: free run mode and triggered mode. Free run mode initiates quickly and does not take into account trigger conditions, while triggered mode waits for a trigger event to be recognized.

There are many different optional features for the Tektronix RSA5100B series, including: adding enhanced real time (Option 09), adding AM/FM/PM and audio analysis (Option 10), adding phase noise and jitter measurement (Option 11), adding Bluetooth LE and Bluetooth Basic Rate RF transmitter measurements (Option 27), adding LTE Downlink Base Station RF transmitter measurements (Option 28), and several more.  


The RSA600 series of Spectrum Analyzers by Tektronix is ideal for the characterization of RF devices, subsystems, and systems, mobile field operations, and manufacturing assessments. The RSA600 series covers a frequency range of 9 kHz to 7.5 GHz, has an acquisition bandwidth of 40 MHz, an amplitude accuracy of 0.2 dB to 3 GHz (95% confidence), high speed full-span sweeps at 25.0 GHz per second, and a 70 dB dynamic range. There is also a USB, which allows the user to transfer the processing power to their PC and therefore access additional processing power and/or memory. The models in the series are 2.95 x 8.75 x 12.12 inches long and weigh approximately 6.15 pounds. The standard operating temperature is -10 to +55 degrees C (+14 to +131 degrees F. The RSA5600RACK has a unique function of being able to hold two RSA600 Spectrum Analyzers side by side.

The RSA600 Spectrum Analyzer series comes readily equipped with the SignalVu-PC software. The software provides an analysis capability which was formerly not available in less costly products. Signal-Vu-PC extends the bandwidth, shows each interfering signal, contains 27 different modulation types, many LTE base station transmitter measurements, Bluetooth capabilities, WLAN measurements, and the ability to playback signals that were previously recorded.


The RSA6000 Spectrum Analyzer series designed by Tektronix provides the measurement accuracy and finesse that experts desire, along with guaranteed quick results. The models have many useful measurement functions, such as: channel power, adjacent channel power, spectrum emissions mask, analog modulation measurements, phase noise and jitter measurements, advanced pulse measurements, general purpose digital modulation analysis (Option 21), and several more measurement types. The RSA6000 Spectrum Analyzer series has a frequency range extending from 9 kHz as far as 6.2 GHz depending on the model, a sweep speed of 1 GHz in 10 kHz RBW in less than one second, 20 dBm 3rd order intercept at 2 GHz (typical), a standard operating temperature range of +5 to +50 degrees C, dimensions of 11.1 x 18.6 x 20.9 inches, weighs 58 pounds, and has a recommended warm-up time of approximately 20 minutes. 


The TLA600 series of Logic Analyzers designed by Tektronix is ideal for efficient assessment and analysis of real-time digital system operations to confirm and debug digital hardware. The TLA600 series is affordable and suitable for general-purpose timing testing. This series has models with different options for 34/68/102/136 channel logic analyzers, extends as far as 200 MHz for acquisition analysis, has a 500 MHz deep timing analysis, and also contains a processor and bus support. The Tektronix TLA600 Logic Analyzers contain the same software as other Tektronix brand Logic Analyzers, ensuring that once the user masters operating one, they can efficiently operate any of them. The TLA600 Logic Analyzers also offer the capability of sharing setups and data between the Logic Analyzers, along with being able to showcase data on Windows PCs.

The TLA600 models are equipped with a built-in 3.5 in., 1.44 MB floppy disk drive, a 10 GB hard disk drive (which can be extended to 30 GB with Option 1J), and an internal 16/8/32 CD-RW. The models in the TLA600 series have a standard operating temperature ranging from +5 to +50 degrees C, weigh 37 pounds not including probes, and have dimensions of 11.1 x 18 x 16.3 in.


The Tektronix TLA700 series of Logic Analyzers are designed especially for hardware debug and confirmation, embedded software integration, debug, and confirmation, and processor/bus debug and confirmation. The TLA700 Logic Analyzer series has many useful benefits, such as: each model is interchangeable between transportable and benchtop mainframes, they contain a broad processor and bus support, Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional PC platform gives a recognized interface, and the expansion mainframe can support as many as 8160 Logic Analyzer channels and 60 single buses. The TLA715 and TLA721 are equipped with a dual display, an internal CD-RW, hard disk, and PC card slots.
