National Instruments BNC-2090 BNC Terminal Block

The National Instruments BNC-2090 (Part number: 777270-01) BNC Terminal Block comes with signal marked BNC connectors, spring terminal blocks, and analog signal molding zones to simplify the connection of simple signals and advanced signals to the DAQ board for use in lab, test, and production environments. The user can design the BNC-2090 to utilize eight differential or 16 single-finished simple input channels. The BNC-2090 has silkscreened segment areas for resistors and capacitors for building single pole high-pass and low-pass filters and voltage dividers. The user can link the BNC-2090 to any DAQ device in the B Series, S Series, E Series, or M Series, if it is a 68-pin device as it–the BNC 2090–is equipped with 2 68-position male connectors. Also, it is fitted with 22 BNC connectors (18 analog, 2 digital, and 2 user-defined) and 28 spring terminal blocks–all for field connections.

If the user needs to quantify floating signal sources, then they can arrange the MIO board for DIFF or NRSE mode. Both require bias resistors. However, if the user needs to quantify ground-referenced signal sources, they can configure the MIO board for the NRSE mode or DIFF mode. Lastly, if the user needs to configure the MIO board in the RSE mode, every one of the 16 simple input channels are referenced to AIGND.

In this model, attenuators or voltage dividers permit voltage estimations bigger than the highest input range of MIO boards. For instance, voltage signals in the ±20 V range can be estimated by building a 2:1 voltage divider circuit. The user can interface attenuators to the analog inputs of the BNC-2090 when the inputs from its DAQ board are in DIFF mode. The BNC-2090 open segment positions do not encourage voltage dividers with the MIO board designed for single-finished information signals.

The BNC-2090 measures 19.0 x 1.7 x 7.4 in. in physical dimensions. It has recommended operating and storage temperature ranges of 0° to 70° C and -55° to 125° C respectively, and a non-condensing relative humidity range of 5% to 90%. The NI device is designed to comply with the following electrical safety standards: IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 61010-1, and CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 61010-1.
