National Instruments  780110-01  C Series Motor Drive Interface Module

Part Number 780110-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments NI-9514 C Series Motor Drive Interface Module. This module is a part of the family of C Series motion modules and provides servo drive interface signals for a single axis. The 780110-01 can operate in either the position control mode (position loop) or the torque control mode (torque loop). The maximum control loop rate is 20 kHz for the position loop. There are multiple servo control loop modes: PID, PIVff, and dual-loop

The 780110-01 can generate servo command analog outputs with a voltage range of ±10 V, relative to Drive Command COM and a resolution of 16 bits. The maximum output current is ±2 mA. On the other hand, the drive enable output has a voltage range of 0 to 30 V and can be configured as sinking or sourcing type through software. Furthermore, there are 2 digital inputs that can also be configured to sinking or sourcing types through software. The minimum pulse width is 50 µs. The 780110-01 requires a maximum of 900 mW of power from the chassis while in active mode and only 0.4 mW (max) in sleep mode. The module has a Vsup input range of 19 V to 30 V, 150 mA (max), and +5 V ±5%,150 mA max of regulated output. The module weighs 5.5 oz

The 780110-01 has an operating temperature range of -40 to 70 °C at a relative humidity of 10% to 90%. On the other hand, it can be stored at a much wider range of  -40 to 85 °C at a relative humidity of 5% to 95%. Note that the module is designed for indoor use only within a maximum altitude of 2000 m. Furthermore, only voltages between 0 to + 30 VDC (max), under Measurement Category I, should be connected between channel-to-COM. There is no channel-to-channel isolation. The module meets the requirements of the following safety standards: IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 61010-1, CSA 61010-1 ï EN 60079-0:2012, EN 60079-15:2010, etc.
