The 780968-01, also known as the NI-9208, is a 16-channel, high-density current input module made especially for industrial applications. With a 24-bit Delta-Sigma ADC and high resolution, this module is designed to handle ±20 mA inputs with remarkable accuracy. Because of its integrated 50/60 Hz noise rejection, which considerably lowers low-frequency noise, accurate readings are guaranteed in electrically loud surroundings.
High-channel density is one of the main characteristics of the 780968-01. It saves slots for other measurement kinds or lowers total per-channel expenses by minimizing the number of modules needed in a system with 16 channels. Since space and cost are important factors, its efficiency makes it perfect for complicated industrial applications.
The module uses a conventional 37-pin D-SUB connection that works with a number of cables and connector blocks, such as the NI 9937 DSUB connector kit. In terms of performance, the 780968-01 is excellent in both high-resolution and high-speed modes. The high-resolution mode provides an outstanding noise rejection ratio (NMRR) of 66 dB at 50 Hz and 68 dB at 60 Hz, with an input noise of 50 nA RMS and a conversion time of 52 ms per channel. The input noise is marginally higher in the high-speed mode at 200 nA RMS, with a 2 ms conversion time. Together with having an input impedance of 85 Ω, the module exhibits outstanding stability with offset drift of 62 nA/°C and gain drift of 20 ppm/°C.
