cDAQ-9185, 4-Slot, Synchronization Enabled, CompactDAQ Chassis
National Instruments cDAQ-9185 CompactDAQ Chassis
The cDAQ-9185 (Part Numbers: 785064-01, 786473-01, 787929-01) is a CompactDAQ Chassis. With this model, the user can introduce a thermocouple module by an accelerometer estimation module and gain both at various rates. The NI cDAQ-9185 Chassis has numerous simple information timing motors, which allows the user to gather the majority of their simple info modules in up to three arrangements of modules. These sets, known as undertakings, would all be able to keep running at various rates if each has its own specific motor planning in the backplane undercarriage. This reduces the need to demolish bring down speed information from the higher-speed information.
To exploit the 1,000 Mbit/s of data transmission on a Gigabit Ethernet interface, this NI CompactDAQ Chassis actualizes a TCP/IP variant of the same protected NI Signal Spilling innovation on elite NI USB data acquisition items. With this innovation, fast C Series modules, such as the NI 9223, can persistently gain up to 1 MS/s of synchronous 16-bit information on all four channels. Besides, various NI CompactDAQ undercarriages can have a similar Gigabit Ethernet organized for appropriated, high-channel-count frameworks. The device has a timing accuracy of 50 ppm of sample rate.
Utilizing a modern programming design, NI-DAQmx driver programming keeps up a twofold cradled exchange component between the frame and host PC equipped for maintaining a few bidirectional constant waveforms. In the meantime, the driver screens the condition of the system to modify for startling deferrals or transitory intrusions. The greater part of this is preoccupied from the client, so the user can center on the estimation application and not the system. The device can be programmed using LabVIEW or LabWindows/CVI.
The NI device weighs 23.3 oz, and measures 7.01 x 3.47 x 2.52 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of -40 °C to 70 °C, a storage temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C, non-condensing operating and storage humidity ranges of 10% to 90% RH and 5% to 95% RH respectively, and random and sinusoidal operating vibrations of 5 grms and 5 g respectively–all at a frequency range of 10 to 500 Hz. More information about the cDAQ-9185 can be found in the datasheets and manuals of the "Manuals & PDFs" tab.

National Instruments cDAQ-9185 Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Why are there two different part numbers for the NI cDAQ 9185?
Answer: The NI cDAQ 9185 part number 785064-01 is not conformal coated and part number 786473-01 is conformal coated.
Question: When I run the National Instruments NI cDAQ-9185 in Test Panels in MAX, I get an Error 209836 - The devices in your task cannot be synchronized. This may be because there are no available synchronization mechanisms between the devices.
Answer: Try using the National Instruments NI cDAQ-9185 in a different chassis. If you still get the error, make sure all drivers are updated.
Question: Is the NI cDAQ-9185 CompactDAQ Chassis supported in Linux?
Answer: The NI cDAQ-9185 CompactDAQ Chassis is not supported in Linux.
Question: Does the cDAQ 9185 have 3 ethernet ports available?
Answer: The cDAQ 9185 only has 2 ethernet ports available.
Question: Why can’t I see the NI cDAQ-9185 when it’s connected via the network? I can see it when it’s connected through MAX but not when connected through the network.
Answer: Your NI cDAQ-9185 may not be able to be seen because it is TSN (Time Sensitive Network) enabled. TSN uses the Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) to create a loopless network, which is not compatible with some network settings. If it is not possible to configure your network differently, you could consider a non-TSN cDAQ chassis, such as the cDAQ-9184 or cDAQ-9188.
Question: Why can't I see the cDAQ-9185 in LabVIEW?
Answer: The cDAQ-9185 does not have its own controller, so it can not be added to a LabVIEW project- instead, you will be able to access it with DAQmx API.
