National Instruments NI-9155 CompactRIO Chassis
The National Instruments NI-9155 (Part Number: 782458-01) is a CompactRIO Chassis. This model features integrated MXI-Express (x1) and a Reconfigurable FPGA. The FPGA utilized in this Chassis is a Virtex-5 LX85 that offers 51,840 flip-flops, 51,840 6-input LUTs, 48 DSP48 slices, 3,456 kbits of available block RAM, and can operate with ±100 ppm accuracy. The National Instruments NI-9155 can be connected to an MXI-Express host system directly and users can configure the power-up options via an MXI-Express cable.
This Chassis comes with a “NO FPGA APP" DIP switch and three USER FPGA switches. The "NO FPGA APP" switch, when switched ON, overrides the Chassis powerup options and prevents a LabVIEW FPGA app from loading. The NI-RIO software and LabVIEW FPGA Module can be used to define the USER FPGA switches to meet the requirements of the user’s application. The NI-9155 CompactRIO Chassis consumes 14.6 Watts of power without any I/O modules inserted and consumes 23.0 watts while operating with all 8 I/O modules. The voltage input range is 9 VDC to 30 VDC. The NI-9155 has redundant power connectors V1 and C2. By default, the Chassis operates from V1 input and switches to V2 only when it senses insufficient voltage from the V1 input.
The NI 9155 CompactRIO Chassis comes with 1 MXI Express Upstream Port and 1 MXI Express Downstream Port provided on the front panel (these ports support up to 7-meter-long NI MXI Express Cables) and 8 slots provided on the rear panel.
