National Instruments cRIO-9014 CompactRIO Controller
The cRIO-9014 (part numbers: 779564-01 and 779564-02) is a CompactRIO controller developed by National Instruments. This model is used to control and monitor C Series applications. The cRIO-9014 incorporates several ports for various connections. These ports include USB, Ethernet, and an RS-232 serial terminal. The Controller cannot be connected with the C Series devices directly because no such slot is available. However, the NI cRIO-9014 can be interfaced with the C Series device through an extension, a compatible CompactRIO chassis.
The cRIO-9014 CompactRIO Controller is a rugged device designed to withstand harsh environments. The processor of the cRIO-9014 has a PowerPC-type core, and the frequency of the processor is 400 MHz. The supported networks for the interface are 10Base-T and 100Base-TX Ethernet. The controller can communicate at the rates of 10 Mbps per second and 100 Mbps per second. The cRIO-9014 CompactRIO Controller features an SMB digital I/O connector with an input voltage in the range of -500 mV to 5.5 V. The supported logic level is 3.3 V. This model supports a CMOS-type driver. The input capacitance is 2.5 pF, and the maximum power consumed by the cRIO-9014 is 20 W. It has a recommended operating temperature of -40 °C to 70 °C. The device weighs 17.2 oz., and its dimensions are 3.6 x 3.0 x 3.5 in.
National Instruments has declared the status of the cRIO-9014 to be obsolete, but the CompactRIO controller will remain available for purchase and repair services with Apex Waves in perpetuity.
