cRIO-9075, 128 MB DRAM, 3 DMA Channels, CompactRIO Controller
National Instruments cRIO-9075 CompactRIO Controller
The National Instruments cRIO-9075 (Part Number: 781715-01) is a 4-Slot CompactRIO Legacy Controller. This model features 400 MHz CPU, 256 MB of Internal Storage, 128 MB DRAM, and an FPGA (Spartan-6 LX 25 by Xilinx). The FPGA circuitry provided in this Controller controls all the I/O modules and forwards data to the main Controller by means of a local PCI bus and built-in communication infrastructure.
The Spartan-6 LX 25 FPGA incorporated in the cRIO NI 9075 offers 24051 logic cells, 38 multipliers, and has 936 kb of RAM. The NI cRIO-9075 is designed to accept four C Series I/O modules. A variety of I/O modules compatible with this Controller are available including: current, voltage, thermocouple, RTD, strain gage, and accelerometer modules. Moreover, the cRIO 9075 can also be used with 5 V or TLL digital I/O, pulse generators, counters, timers, high current relays, high voltage relays, 12 V, 24 V, and 48 V industrial I/O, and up to ±60 V analog I/O.
The NI cRIO 9075 fully supports programmatic communications through IrDA, Serial Protocol, TCP/IP, Modbus/TCP, and UDP. Moreover, this device comes featured with built-in communication servers for VISA, FPT, and HTTP. The VISA server offers remote communication and downloads access to the reconfigurable I/O over Ethernet. The FTP server offers quick access to configuration files and logged data stored on the internal storage of the Controller. The controller can be configured using the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tools. A 24 W, 24 VDC compatible power supply can be used with the NI cRIO-9075. In standard operating conditions, this device consumes 15 watts of power (maximum).
The NI device weighs 22.7 oz, and measures 7.0 x 3.4 x 2.5 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of -20 °C to 55 °C, a storage temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C, a noncondensing operating and storage humidity range of 10% RH to 90% RH and 5% RH to 95% RH respectively, and a random and sinusoidal operating vibration of 5 grms and 5 g respectively–all at a frequency range of 10 Hz to 500 Hz.
