National Instruments sbRIO-9602 CompactRIO Single-Board Controller

The National Instruments sbRIO-9602 is a CompactRIO Single-Board Controller. This model comes equipped with a 400 MHz CPU, Digital I/O, and a 2M Gate FPGA. The NI sbRIO-9602 is known for its powerful configuration that consists of a user-configurable FPGA and a real-time processor. All these hardware resources come packaged on a single PCB (printed circuit board). This controller features 1 Serial Port, 1 Ethernet Port, three connectors for C Series modules, and 110 3.3 V digital input/output lines. The availability of numerous digital I/O channels makes the NI sbRIO-9602 an ideal choice for high-volume applications.

This controller is offered with 256 MB of internal nonvolatile storage and 128 MB of DRAM. The FPGA incorporated in this model has two million gates. The National Instruments sbRIO-9602 features built-in HTTP and FTP servers. Thus, you can access this device from a remote PC over the internet. For its operation, the sbRIO-9602 requires an external power supply that can operate within the range of 19 V to 30 VDC. The integrated FPGA on this device can easily be configured for custom I/O timing, inline signal processing, and high-speed control through a LabVIEW FPGA Module.

The serial port on this controller can be used for adding peripheral devices such as a keyboard and mouse. The NI sbRIO-9602 is designed to operate in harsh industrial environments as its operating temperature range is -20 to 55 °C. All 3.3 V digital I/O lines are connected directly to the field-programable gate array.

sbRIO-9602 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the controller will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
