National Instruments 778279-01 PXI Sound and Vibration Module

The dynamic signal acquisition module 778279-01 from National Instruments is a member of the PXI-4472 Model series. With eight input channels enabling simultaneous digitization of input signals, it is specially made for sound and vibration measurements. Integrated electronic piezoelectric (IEPE) signal conditioning for accelerometers and microphones is incorporated into these channels. Without requiring additional external filters, the module's integrated anti-aliasing filters avoid aliasing by automatically adjusting to the sample rate.

The 778279-01 efficiently eliminates any signals with frequency components outside the range of the analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) by implementing both analog and real-time digital filters in hardware, guaranteeing precise measurements. With a 1,024-sample analog input FIFO buffer, it prevents data loss and uses a PCI mini-MITE for high-speed data transfer rates.

Pretrigger and posttrigger are the two trigger modes that this module offers for signal capture. A trigger can come from a number of places, including software commands, external digital trigger inputs, PXI trigger buses, RTSI buses, or analog input channels. Due to its TTL/CMOS compatibility, the external digital trigger offers a wide range of triggering situations.
