National Instruments DAQCard-500 Multifunction I/O Board

The DAQCard-500 is a Multifunction I/O Board for the PCMCIA bus by National Instruments. The NI DAQCard-500 is built with different part numbers for different types of operating systems. The DAQCard-500 has the part number 777086-01 for Windows operating systems. The part number 777086-02 is for Mac operating systems. This board can be utilized with the NI-DAQ driver. The DAQCard-500 uses LabVIEW, Lookout, VirtualBench, and LabWindows application software.

The NI DAQCard-500 is designed as a low-cost device, which renders multiple input/output functions for different types of applications. This Multifunction I/O Board has a maximum sampling rate up to 50 kS/s with 12-bit resolution. The DAQCard-500 contains 8 single-ended analog input channels and a successive approximation ADC. The DAQCard-500 is built with 8 standard TTL digital input/output lines. The DAQCard-500 is featured with three timing I/O channels with 16-bit resolution and 10 MHz maximum source frequency. This Multifunction I/O Board does not have any analog output channels.

The DAQCard-500 is built with an input impedance of 1 GΩ in parallel with 40 pF. This board can be connected to the screw terminals on the CB-27 Terminal Block. Another accessory that can be used with this board is the PR27-30F cable (Part Number: 777131-01). The DAQCard-500 is used with the slave type of bus interface. The DAQCard-500 has a 27-pin male input/output connector. This Multifunction I/O Board has +5 VDC, 500 mA power available at the I/O connector. The DAQCard-500 has an input FIFO buffer size of 16-samples. The DAQCard-500 is compatible with 5 V/TTL, gate and source pulled high with 100 kΩ resistors.
