779989-01, 50 MHz, High Speed Digital I/O, 32 Channels, PXIe-6537 Digital I/O Module
National Instruments 779989-01 PXI Digital I/O Module
The 779989-01, often identified as the PXIe-6537, is a high-performance 32-channel, 50 MHz PXI Digital I/O Module designed by National Instruments. This module is a great option for interfacing and testing image sensors, display panels, and other digital applications including pattern I/O, change detection, and protocol emulation because it can constantly stream data over the PXI Express bus at rates up to 200 MB/s.
Users can effectively manage data flow using per-channel directional control of the 32 bidirectional digital channels. To further increase its adaptability, the module has six Programmable Function Interface (PFI) channels, each with per-channel directional control. Furthermore, bidirectional control for RTSI<0..7>/PXI_TRIG<0..7> and unidirectional input/output for PXIe_DSTARB and PXIe_DSTARC, respectively, are included in the direction control of RTSI/PXI trigger channels.
The 779989-01 provides versatility in timing settings and synchronization with its three bidirectional clock terminals (PFI 4, PFI 5, RTSI 7), one exported clock terminal (PXIe_DSTARC), and two clock source terminals (PXIe_DSTARA, PXI_STAR). It works with single-ended signal types and offers generation voltage families of 2.5 V and 3.3 V (5 V TTL compatible). Compatibility with many digital logic levels is ensured by the module's digital input voltage range of -1 V to 6 V and its output voltage range of 0 V to 5 V.
To handle various signal types and ground-reference settings, this PXI Digital I/O Module makes use of the NI-PGIA differential amplifier. The NI-PGIA drives the ADC to provide accurate data capture by increasing the voltage differential between signal sources. Easy integration into automated test systems is made possible by the 779989-01's compatibility with NI-DAQmx driver software and application development environments like as LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI.
With the NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool, it is easily controlled and observed.
Because of its small size (842 x 0.79 x 5.14 inches) and weight of 5.1 ounces, the 779989-01 fits nicely in a variety of settings. Its temperature range of operation is 0°C to 55°C, ensuring dependable operation in various settings. Furthermore, pre-triggered data collecting is supported by the module, allowing users to collect data prior to the trigger event.
