National Instruments PCI-6515 Digital I/O Device

The PCI-6515 (Part Numbers: 778835-01, 778938-01) is a 32 Digital Input Channel, 32 Digital Output Channel Digital I/O Device by National Instruments. This low-cost, industrial Digital I/O Device has advanced features for industrial control, manufacturing test, and data acquisition applications. Part number 778938-01 refers to the PCI-6515 bundle kit. When powering up, the output drives on this device are incapacitated. All output lines are client configurable for an on or off state. Client configurable catalyst states are helpful for guaranteeing that the NI PCI 6515 powers up in a known state. To utilize the NI Measurement & Automation Explorer tool (prescribed) to program the catalyst states, select the gadget and tap the Properties button. The user can refer to the product documentation for data about how to program the catalyst states utilizing NI-DAQ with LabVIEW or other National Instruments application improvement situations. The user can program the NI PCI-6515 device to send an interrupt when a change happens on any information line. The DIO device can screen changes on chosen input lines or on all information lines. This device can screen for rising edges (0 to 1), falling edges (1 to 0), or both. When an information change happens, the DIO Device creates an interrupt and the NI-DAQ driver advises the product. The device has a voltage range of -30 V to 30 V.

The DIO Device sends a change discovery when any of the progressions happen, yet it does not report which line changed or if the line was rising or falling. After a change, the user can read the info lines to decide the present line states. The greatest rate of progress location is dictated by the product reaction time, which differs from framework to framework. An overflow bit shows that an extra rising or falling edge has been distinguished before the product could process the past change.

The PCI-6515 weighs 6.1 oz, and measures 6.3 x 3.9 in. in physical dimensions. It has recommended operating and storage temperature ranges of 0 °C to 55 °C and –20 °C to 70 °C, non-condensing operating and storage humidity ranges of 10% to 90% RH and 5% to 95% RH.
