National Instruments PCIe-6535 Digital I/O Device

The PCIe-6535 is an advanced Digital I/O Device developed by National Instruments. The part number of the PCIe-6535 device is 780694-01. The PCIe-6535 is a high-speed DAQ that offers continuous data streaming over the PCI bus. The PCIe-6535 supports NI-DAQ driver software. Using this software, digital waveforms can be created. These waveforms can also be edited and imported into this device. The PCIe-6535 can be synchronized with many devices using the PXI or RTSI bus.

The PCIe-6535 Digital I/O Device has 32 data channels and six PFI channels. The direction of the channels is independently programmable. The supported voltage levels are 2.5 Volts and 3.3 Volts. The generation signal channels are single-ended channels. The output impedance is 50 Ω. The output channels can sustain a maximum voltage level of 5 V without getting damaged. The PCIe-6535 has an input impedance of 50 kΩ. The acquisition channels have an overvoltage protection of -1 V to +6V. The PCIe-6535 can stream data at a maximum throughput rate of 40 MB/sec. The clock rate is from 48 Hz 10 MHz. The PCIe-6535 is compatible with NI-DAQmx version 8.8 or newer. The supported application software includes: LabVIEW, LabWindows, and Microsoft Visual Studios.

The PCIe-6535 Digital I/O Device is a low-cost device with high-bandwidth architecture. These features make it ideal to interface and test image sensors and display panels.  Since the PCIe-6535 is a digital DAQ, it is mainly suitable for digital applications. These applications include custom digital interfacing, pattern I/O, and change detection. The PCIe-6535 is also used for protocol emulation, communications applications, and semiconductor and electronics applications.
