National Instruments PXIe-6537 PXI Digital I/O Module

The 32 bidirectional digital channels, 50 MHz, 200 MB/s, National Instruments PXIe-6537 (Part Number: 779989-01) Digital I/O Module, executes the diverse simple info ground-reference settings by directing distinctive signals to the NI-PGIA. The NI-PGIA is a differential enhancer. That is, the NI-PGIA enhances (or constricts), the distinction in voltage between its two data sources. The NI-PGIA drives the ADC with this opened voltage. In the single-ended modes, there are more electrostatic and attractive noise couples in the signal associations than in DIFF setups. The coupling is the consequence of contrasts in the signal path. Attractive coupling is relative to the area between the two signal conductors. Electrical coupling is an element of how much the electric field contrasts between the two transmitters. With this kind of association, the NI-PGIA rejects both the regular mode noise in the signal and the ground potential contrast between the signal source and the gadget ground. The PXIe-6537 has a digital input voltage range of -1 V to 6 V, and an output voltage range of 0 V to 5 V.

The PXIe 6537 is run using the NI-DAQmx driver software which is compatible with software packages/application development environments (ADEs) such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, or Microsoft Visual Studio. The device can be tested using the NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool.

It is vital to interface the negative lead of a drifting signal source to AI GND (specifically through a resistor). Generally, the source may float out of the legitimate information scope of the NI-PGIA and the DAQ gadget returns wrong information. Pre-triggered information acquisition enables the user to see information that is gained before the trigger of interest, notwithstanding information obtained after the trigger. AI Start Trigger (ai/StartTrigger) can be either a hardware or software signal. If an AI Start Trigger is set up to be programming a begin trigger, an output press shows up on the ai/StartTrigger line when the acquisition starts.

The NI device weighs 5.1 oz, and measures 8.42 x 0.79 x 5.14 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 ºC to 55 ºC.
