The National Instruments 779748-01 is a 16-input AC-coupled PXI Sound and Vibration Module. It is designed for high-channel-count applications and is also identified as PXI-4496. It features 24-bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital converters (ADC) which offers high precision for measurements involving microphones, accelerometers, and other transducers with extensive dynamic ranges. Each input channel supports simultaneous sampling to ensure accuracy across all channels.
The 779748-01 supports a maximum sample rate of 204.8 kS/s with a resolution of ≤181.9 μS/s. The module includes built-in antialiasing filters that adjust automatically to the sampling rate, along with software-selectable input gains up to 20 dB. The allowable input voltage ranges from ±1 V to ±10 V. The IEPE signal conditioning is software-selectable which supports 0 or 4 mA constant current. Analog and digital triggers on the 779748-01 module offer flexible triggering options. Analog triggers support start or reference triggers from any AI source with programmable levels and slopes. Digital triggers are compatible with transistor-transistor logic (TTL) signals and can be sourced from PFI0 or PXI trigger lines.
