National Instruments PXIe-4497 PXI Sound and Vibration Module

The PXIe-4497 (Part Number: 781369-01) Sound and Vibration Module with 204.8 kS/s sample rate, 114 dB, 2 gains, coupled to AC/DC, and 16 differential analog input channels is intended for sound and vibration applications with a high channel count. It has a high pass filter cutoff frequency of 0.5 Hz. With 24-bit simple sources of input and IEPE consistent current signal modulation, the NI PXIe-4497 is perfect for exactness estimations with receivers, accelerometers, and different transducers that have substantial ranges.

The PXIe-4497 offers synchronous samples on all channels. Also, the module incorporates built-in anti-aliasing channels that consequently change in accordance with the sample rate, programming selectable information gain, and wise TEDS sensor support for error-free setup. Normal applications incorporate noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) examination, expansive varieties of microphones, and dynamic structural test. The NI PXIe-4497 may introduce spurious from aliasing. This results from limitations in the data transfer capacity of the signals it can quantify. The device is equipped with a SMB digital trigger connector and InfiniBand 4x analog I/O connectors. It has a power requirement of 2100 mA at +3.3 V and 810 mA at +12 V.

When the signal voltage surpasses the input range, distortion caused by a clipped or over ranged waveform can occur. The National Instruments PXIe-4497 PXI Sound and Vibration Module incorporates over-load recognition in both the analog domain (pre-digitization) and digital domain (post-digitization). The NI PXIe-4497 module supports digital domain overload detection. The user can utilize the OverloadedChansExist and OverloadedChans properties to access to the over-load detection. An analog overrange can happen autonomously from a digital overrange, and the other way around. For instance, an IEPE accelerometer may have a resonant frequency that, when empowered, can create an overrange in the analog signal. However, on the grounds that the ADC delta-sigma innovation utilizes sharp against associating channels, the overrange is not passed into the digitized signal.

The device weighs 11.5 oz., and measures 6.3 x 3.9 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C, and a storage temperature range of –20 °C to 70 °C.

The PXIe-4497 has a "Last Time Buy" date of March 28, 2024 from NI- but it will remain available for purchase and repair with Apex Waves.
