National Instruments FP-1601 Ethernet Interface for FieldPoint

The FP-1601 (Part number: 777792-01, 187684F-01) is a FieldPoint Ethernet Interface manufactured by National Instruments. This model can link a 10/100 Ethernet network to FieldPoint I/O modules. The total number of FP-1601 modules installed on a network is given by the network topology. The FP-1601 Ethernet Interface links as many as nine FieldPoint I/O modules to a high-speed Ethernet network.  The NI FP-1601 is embedded with LED indicators. These indicators help communicate status information. This model is also equipped with DIP switches. These switches are used to perform different functions. The FP bank includes one network module. It also consists of more than one I/O module and terminal base.

This Ethernet Interface has an event driven protocol, 1 port, 100 Mb/s maximum data communication rates, and a 10/100 BaseTX network interface. The FieldPoint FP-1601 automatically detects the connection speed. It has an onboard system to configure the connection speed. Each bank can be logged on by either LabVIEW RT enabled devices or host computers. Infinite FP banks are used with the help of Ethernet. The FP-1601 National Instruments includes a local bus connector and a power connector. It also consists of a rail clip and an Ethernet port. The module has built-in driver software, which is Measurement & Automation Explorer and OPC server (2.0 compliant). This model also has configuration utility software.
