National Instruments NI-5782 Transceiver Adapter Module for FlexRIO

The National Instruments NI-5782 is a Transceiver Adapter Module designed for FlexRIO based systems. This 330 MHz bandwidth module is well-suited for applications that require the generation and acquisition of baseband signals, along with real-time, in-line processing. To perform measurement and generate response signals, users can analyze fetched signals in a suitable PXI FPGA module for FlexRIO.

The NI-5782 covers a broad application area that includes: bit error rate testing, radio frequency identification, near-field communication testing, RF modulation, RF demodulation, signal intelligence, software-defined radio testing, and real-time spectrum analysis. The National Instruments NI-5782 is available in two versions: AC-coupled (Part Number: 782705-01) and DC-coupled (Part Number: 782705-02). This module is an immediate-frequency transceiver, which features 2 analog input (AI) channels and 2 analog output channels. The NI-5782 offers up to 250 MS/s on the input channels and up to 500 MS/s can be achieved on the two analog output channels.

This device has all the I/O connectors available on the front panel. The NI-5782 Transceiver Adapter Module has 1 AUX I/O connector, 1 CLK IN connector, 1 TRIG connector, 2 analog input connectors (for Channel-0 and Channel-1), and 2 analog output connectors (for Channel 0 and Channel 1). With the AUX I/O as the only exception, all the NI 5782 Front Panel Connectors operate at 50 Ω input impedance. This device also features CLIP capability that brings additional control and integration features. For various clocking functions, the NI 5782 has a VCO that operates as a free-running clock.
