National Instruments PXIe-7972 PXI FPGA Module for FlexRIO

The K325T FPGA, 1.7 GB/s, 2 GB DRAM PXIe-7972 (Part Number: 782954-01) is an FPGA Module for FlexRIO. For more complex HDL that may utilize multiple clock domains and execute non-concurrently, the CLIP Node offers an interface. Through an XML wrapper, the user can import the HDL into LabVIEW and access it through the I/O axis. It is also possible to utilize the CLIP Node to interface to the NI FlexRIO connector module and the FPGA module locally available DRAM. The CLIPNode executes asynchronously to the LabVIEW block diagram, can support various tickers, and is required for redoing certain highlights of the equipment, such as the connector module interface. This is not the same as the IP Integration Node, which executes in line with the LabVIEW box diagram and can be precisely reproduced with the LabVIEW host simulation.

The NI FlexRIO Instrument Development Library is a gathering of LabVIEW Host and FPGA code intended to give FPGA capacities, such as acquisition engines, DRAM interfaces, and trigger logic, alongside the related host APIs. This code is open and modular, so the user can choose just the parts they need, and it delivers proficient implementation. It can be used to alter the code given in the library, if important, to meet any user’s unique application needs.

The NI PXIe-7972 Example Instrument Driver expands on the NI FlexRIO Instrument Development Library to deliver familiar API and default software FPGA personality for NI 573x digitizer connector modules. It encourages the user to rapidly start taking estimations, change both the LabVIEW Host and FPGA code to suit the user’s application, and gives access to the full capacities of client adjustable equipment instrumentation.
