For processing the analog signal in the digital format, the multifunction device has an analog-to-digital converter at the input with a resolution of 16 bits for accurate digital conversion of the signal. The module can generate output signals at a rate of 83300 samples per second per channel. The output voltages of the channels are programmable and can be adjusted within the range of -10 to 10 volts. The outputs are also low impedance with a value of 0.2 Ω and can drive external components with a current of up to 5 mA. This module features 48 Digital I/O which are user-programmable and are available on ports 0 and Port 1 & 2 of the module. Users can program these digital I/Os to be used as inputs or outputs. The module includes two 32-bit general-purpose counters/timers capable of performing various measurements, including positive edge or negative edge counting, measuring pulse width of the signals, measuring the period, and two-edge separation operation. It also supports quadrature encoder inputs for position measurements. The onboard frequency generator can produce square waves with 10 MHz and 100 kHz base clocks, divided by any integer from 1 to 16.
