The National Instruments PCI-6225 (Part number: 779295-01) is a 16-Bit Multifunction DAQ. This low cost board offers 80 AI, 2 AO, 24 DIO, and 2 Counters/Timers (32-bit). The NI PCI-6225 delivers reliable data acquisition capabilities for a broad range of applications since users can also add high-voltage measurement capability and sensors to this device by using SCC modules. Featured with 40 differential or 80 single ended DC coupled analog input channels, 16-bit ADC resolution, and 250 kS/s sampling rate, the NI PCI-6225 becomes an ultimate choice for applications where high channel count is required.
Unlike various other low-cost DAQ devices, this model has redundant analog outputs with a 16-bit resolution digital-to-analog converter. On its analog outputs, the user will be able to achieve 833 kS/s maximum update rate while operating with 1 channel and 740 kS/s (per channel) guaranteed update rate when using both channels. The NI PCI 6225 takes only 15 minutes for a complete warm-up and its calibration interval as defined by the vendor is 1 year.
The PFI/ Port 1 and Port 2 incorporated in this model can be used as static digital inputs. The digital inputs provided in this module are bidirectional; each one of them can be programmed as an input or output through software. This Multifunction DAQ comes equipped with 2,047 samples FIFO for waveform generation through its DO and another 2,047 samples FIFO is provided for waveform acquisition through DI. Moreover, the NI PCI-6225 offers 0 to 1 MHz DI or DO Sample Clock frequency.
