National Instruments PXI-6250 PXI Multifunction I/O Module
The PXI-6250 (Part Number: 779116-01) is a PXI multifunction I/O module created for unrivaled precision at quick testing rates. This high-speed M Series module incorporates advanced highlights, such as the NI-STC 2 framework controller, NI-PGIA 2 programmable attenuator, and NI-MCal calibration technology to expand execution and exactness. The NI PXI-6250 has a locally available NI-PGIA 2 amplifier intended for quick settling time at high scanning rates, guaranteeing 16-bit resolution even when estimating all channels at superior rates. This module also has a two-year calibration interval, meaning it should be calibrated externally a minimum of every two years.
When checking between channels with a similar input range, the settling time increments with the present step between the channels. If the user knows the normal input range of their signals, then they can aggregate signals with comparative expected ranges together in their scan list. The user should utilize signal conditioning accessories for voltage inputs over 10 V or sensor measurements. Buffered acquisition data is moved from the NI PXI-6250 Multifunction I/O Module’s onboard FIFO memory to a PC buffer by utilizing DMA or interrupts before it is transferred to the application memory.
This PXI Multifunction I/O Module can be used with NI-DAQmx driver software, LabVIEW SignalExpress LE data-logging software, and the Measurement & Automation Explorer configuration utility. The digital lines on the PXI-6250 module can drive 24 mA for actuator and relay control. When the user clocks the module’s digital lines at 10 MHz, then they can utilize the lines for pulse-width modulation to control pumps, valves, lamps, fans, and motors. The NI PXI-6250 can also be utilized with NI Analog Output Devices for 64 or more loops.
The standard 3U PXI device weighs 7.5 oz. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 ºC to 55 ºC, a storage temperature range of -20 ºC to 70 ºC, a non-condensing humidity range of 10% RH to 90% RH, and operating and non-operating random vibrations of 0.3 grms and 2.4 grms, respectively—all at a frequency range of 5 to 500 Hz.
PXI-6250's obsolete status has been declared by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
