National Instruments PXI-7332 Stepper Motion Controller Module
The NI PXI-7332 (Part Number: 779035-02) is a 2-Axis, PXI Stepper Motion Controller Module suitable for applications where point-to-point motion controlling is desired. This module offers real-time system incorporation and integration for communicating directly with image acquisition or data acquisition hardware. It comes featured with linear interpolation and high-level stepper generation to provide the user with smooth motion and elevated velocities. The 12-bit NI PXI-7332 is designed to work with the PXI trigger bus and RTSI bus.
This motion controller requires a computer with an available PCI or PXI slot and can be used to operate an NI or third-party drive and motor. This module is compatible with the NI-motion driver software. In addition, it also supports a variety of software applications, including but not limited to, the Microsoft Visual Basic, LabVIEW, and Microsoft Visual C++, etc. The NI-Motion driver software comes standard with the NI PXI-7332 at no additional cost. This model comes with 62.5 to 500 µs/sample trajectory update rate range and <1 update sample Multiaxis synchronization.
The NI PXI-7332 comes with four 8-bit TTL ports and sink or source 24 mA outputs. It also has a couple of open-loop PWM outputs. For motion I/O controlling, this module comes featured with a 68-pin female high-density VHDCI type connector. It requires 1 A power while operating at +5 VDC (±5%) and consumes 5.7 W, maximum. This module comes with adequate safety measures, including a watchdog timer function which resets the board to initial startup state and a shutdown input, which is configured to seize all axis and common outputs.
PXI-7332 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the motion controller will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
