National Instruments 782878-01 PXI Analog Output Module
As part of the PXIe-4322 model family, the National Instruments 782878-01 PXI Analog Output Module is a high-performance, isolated analog output device that operates channel-to-channel and is intended for simultaneous and accurate dynamic voltage and current outputs. Digital-to-analog converters (DACs) and signal conditioning are combined in this module to provide improved measurement accuracy and a small form factor.
The 782878-01 has eight analog output channels and a 16-bit R-2R DAC that guarantees 16-bit monotonicity. It also has an integral nonlinearity (INL) of ±4 LSBs max and a differential nonlinearity (DNL) of ±1 LSB max. With a nominal output voltage range of ±16 V to a maximum of ±16.83 V and a current drive capacity of ±20 mA per channel, it operates in voltage mode. With a low noise performance of 30 μVrms over a 10 Hz to 1 kHz bandwidth, 250 μVrms over a 10 Hz to 300 kHz bandwidth, and 500 μVrms over a 10 Hz to 20 MHz bandwidth, the output impedance is 25 mΩ. The device also has outstanding crosstalk parameters and a slew rate of ±10 V/μs.
The module is perfect for demanding automotive applications since it can sink and source current while operating in all four quadrants of current mode. For safe and reliable startup behavior, the power-on output state is 0 V in voltage mode and 0 mA in current mode.
The 782878-01 has a number of output timing signals that may be sent to PXI_TRIG<0..7> and PXIe_DSTARC with software-selectable polarity, including Start Trigger, Pause Trigger, Sample Clock, and Derived Timebases and Clocks. Compliant with specification rev. 1.0, it has an x1 PXI Express peripheral module form factor and may be used in PXI Express hybrid slots or x1 and x4 PXI Express slots. There is one DMA channel available for analog input.
