Real-time processing of CAN, LIN, and FlexRay signal and frame data is essential for precise hardware-in-the-loop simulation and rapid control prototyping. Code management is made simpler between platforms with LabVIEW programs for NI-XNET devices, as they operate on both Windows and LabVIEW real-time targets without requiring code modifications. This same code can be reused in various form factors, including PXI, PCI, NI CompactDAQ, and NI CompactRIO.
With support for up to 192 hardware-accelerated frames, the NI 780687-01 CAN Interface reduces repetitive processing on the host system, freeing up CPU time for other tasks. NI RTSI synchronization support allows NI-XNET interfaces to integrate and synchronize with other NI products, including data acquisition, PXI modular instrumentation, vision, and motion. The RTSI/Front Panel Sync Connectors of the device feature 7 input/output trigger lines and 1 input/output clock line. These lines are TTL compatible. At power-on, the state of the lines is set to input (High-Z). The response to triggers is based on rising edge triggers.
