National Instruments PXI-8250 PXI System Monitoring Module

The PXI-8250 (Part Number: 780316-01) 6 LED System Monitoring Module effectively controls the voltage, fan, and temperature status of PXI frameworks and reports it through an arrangement of LEDs on the front board of the module. The NI PXI-8250 can be utilized with the PXI-1042, PXI-1042Q or PXI-1045 case to distinguish and report issues in the chassis voltage rails, unusual temperature, or fan failure. The PXI-8250 additionally incorporates a relay that can be initiated when any of the parameters is outside the chassis task specification. With the PXI-8250, the user can screen the power utilization, fan speeds, and power supply levels of their NI PXI chassis at the same time. This data enables the client to accomplish a larger amount of system performance reliability. Once the principal set of information is handled, these status parameters will illuminate the main six LEDs on the front board. The LEDs light up green if the status parameter is in range or red if the parameter is out of range.

The NI PXI-8250 gives monitoring of the single intake thermistor located in the power supply shuttle of the PXI frame. The reading from the thermistor (0-50° C) is contrasted with the working scope of the case. All temperature estimations are accounted for in Celsius and are accurate to inside 1° C of the present admission temperature.

The PXI-8250 module enables the client to monitor the revolutions per minute (RPM) of all rear facing fans of a PXI chassis (two fans in an NI PXI-1042/1042Q and three fans in a NI PXI-1045), accurate to ± 50 RPM.

PXI-8250 Mature Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
