The National Instruments 780337-01 is a Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module which is also known as PXI-7841R. It is equipped with a user-programmable Virtex-5 LX30 FPGA that provides high-performance on-board processing and direct control over I/O signals. It is ideal for applications that require precise timing and control like hardware-in-the-loop testing, custom protocol communication, sensor simulation, and high-speed control. The 780337-01 module can be customized using the LabVIEW FPGA Module.

The NI 780337-01 features 8 x input channels with software-selectable input modes including DIFF, RSE, and NRSE, and utilizes a 16-bit successive approximation ADC. This setup guarantees a resolution of 1 in 65,536 and a maximum sampling rate of 200 kS/s per channel. Each channel has independent timing and triggering capabilities that supports specialized functionalities like multi-rate sampling and individual channel triggering. Output characteristics of the module include 8 x single-ended voltage output channels along with a 16-bit DAC ensuring a resolution of 1 in 65,536 and a maximum update rate of 1 MS/s. The enhanced R-2R DAC design supports a voltage output range of ±10 V and a current drive capability of ±2.5 mA. It also comes with built-in short-circuit protection and user-configurable power-on states.

The 780337-01 module also supports 96 TTL-compatible digital I/O channels with programmable power-on states and input protection ranging from -20.0 to 20.0 V per single line.
