National Instruments 781103-01 Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O device

The part number 781103-01 from National Instruments is the identifying part number for the PCIe-7852 Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O device. This I/O device has 8 Analog input channels with DIFF, RSE, and NRSE software selectable modes. The input has a 16-bit, 1 in 65,536 ADC converter with a conversion time of 1 μs. The maximum sampling rate per channel is rated at 750 kS/s. The module has an input impedance of 10 GΩ in parallel with 100 pF when powered ON and 4.0 kΩ min when powered OFF or overloaded. The input voltage range is ±10 V while the input bias current range is ±5 nA.

The 781103-01 Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O device has 8 Single-ended voltage outputs with a resolution of 16 bits and an update rate of 1.0 μs. The DAC device features in this module is the Enhanced R-2R. The output voltage has a range of ±10 V and is DC-coupled with an impedance of 0.5 Ω and a current drive of ±2.5 mA. The outputs are protected with short-circuit-to-ground protection. This module has 96 Digital I/O channels with an output sink and source current of  4.0 mA.

This I/O module features the Virtex-5 LX50 reconfigurable FPGA with 28,800 flip-flops, 28,800 6-input LUTs, .48 DSP48 slices (25 × 18 multipliers), and an Embedded Block RAM of 1,728 kbits. The bus interface on this module is the Master/slave interface. It uses DMA, interrupts, programmed I/O for data transferring, and has 3 DMA channels. This I/O module requires 0.5 Amperes of current at 12 volts to operate.

The 781103-01 has dimensions of 17 cm by 11 cm and weighs 127 grams. It features three 68-pin female high-density VHDCI type I/O connectors and supports the Standard ATX peripheral connector for disk drive power. The 781103-01 is designed to meet the requirements of IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 61010-1, and CSA 61010-1  standards of safety for electrical equipment for measurement, control, and laboratory use. It should only be operated in an environment with temperatures between 0 degrees Celsius and 55 degrees Celsius for optimal performance.
