The National Instruments 782955-01 FlexRIO FPGA Module offers a versatile and reconfigurable FPGA-based solution for demanding computational tasks. This module is also known as PXIe‑7975R. It is built around the Kintex-7 XC7K410T FPGA which features 254,200 logic cells, 1,540 DSP48 slices and 28,620 Kbits of embedded block RAM. This enables users to customize their I/O configurations for high performance analog and digital processing. The module supports peer-to-peer streaming that facilitates direct data transfers between FPGA modules or select PXI Express modules by bypassing the host processor and optimizing performance in data-intensive applications.

This FlexRIO module features 136 general purpose digital I/O channels configurable as 136 single ended or 68 differential channels or a mix of both. The I/O operates at data rates of up to 400 Mb/s for single ended connections and 1 Gb/s for differential LVDS connections. It also supports various voltage standards ranging from 1.2 V to 3.3 V and offers flexible compatibility based on the adapter module used. The device is equipped with 2 GB of onboard DRAM capable of achieving a theoretical maximum data rate of 10.5 GB/s. The 782955-01 module supports six multi-region and five single-region clock inputs. It also connects seamlessly with the PXI system’s timing resources including PXI triggers, PXI_CLK10 and the star trigger system. The module operates with a 40 MHz default timebase with timebase accuracy of ± 100 ppm and 250 ps peak-to-peak jitter which provides stable timing for accurate signal processing.

This NI 782955-01 module connects through an x4 PXI Express interface compliant with specification v2.1. This provides a reliable and high speed communication pathway with the PXI chassis. Power requirements are + 3.3 VDC and + 12 V both drawing 3 A. The module measures 18.8 cm × 12.9 cm and weighs 190 g.
