The National Instruments 783485-01 or PXIe-7821R is a reconfigurable I/O module designed for high performance digital applications. The FPGA operates with a timebase ranging from 10 MHz to 200 MHz with the default set at 40 MHz and offers synchronization with PXI Express triggers and clocks. The onboard DRAM provides 512 MB of memory with a maximum data streaming rate of 800 MB/s supporting data intensive operations such as high speed waveform generation and sensor simulation.
The 783485-01 is housed in a compact PXI Express form factor that is compatible with x4, x8, and x16 PXI Express or hybrid slots. It supports various data transfer methods, including DMA, interrupts and programmed I/O with 16 DMA channels available for efficient data management. The module's environmental specifications include an operating temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C and the ability to withstand shock and vibration according to military standards. This module meets several safety standards, including IEC 61010-1 and UL 61010-1 that ensure safe operation in laboratory and industrial settings.
