The National Instruments 783485-01 or PXIe-7821R is a reconfigurable I/O module designed for high performance digital applications. The 783485-01 module’s digital I/O features include four connectors each supporting 32 channels with a maximum operating frequency of 80 MHz. The module is compatible with various logic families that include LVTTL and LVCMOS with software selectable logic levels ranging from 1.2V to 3.3V. Each channel offers programmable voltage selection, input impedance and protection against voltage surges. The digital output channels support current sinking and sourcing with programmable power on states and protection. The module's reconfigurable FPGA is equipped with 202,800 flip-flops, 101,400 LUTs, 11,700 kbits of embedded Block RAM and 600 DSP48 slices. This provides extensive resources for complex algorithms and high-speed processing. The FPGA operates with a timebase ranging from 10 MHz to 200 MHz with the default set at 40 MHz and offers synchronization with PXI Express triggers and clocks. The onboard DRAM provides 512 MB of memory with a maximum data streaming rate of 800 MB/s supporting data intensive operations such as high speed waveform generation and sensor simulation.
The 783485-01 is housed in a compact PXI Express form factor that is compatible with x4, x8, and x16 PXI Express or hybrid slots.
