National Instruments PCIe-1477 Frame Grabber Reconfigurable Device
The NI PCIe-1477 (Part Number: 786502-01) is an industrial grade Image Acquisition Device. This device features a PCIe 2.0 x8 host interface. For highly customized image acquisition and processing applications, the NI PCIe-1477 comes equipped with an integrated, user-configurable Kintex-7 325T FPGA. This Frame Grabber Device supports a broad range of Camera-Link compatible cameras. For simplified system connectivity, it also supports PoCL (Power over Camera Link) as well. The integrated FPGA allows the user to customize controls and to trigger through a vast range of auxiliary I/O.
This Camera Link Frame Grabber Device comes with RTSI, an I/O extension connector, and a digital I/O connector, which includes six TTL I/O lines, two bidirectional RS-422 ports, and two isolated inputs (15-pin female D-SUB type high-density connectors). The National Instruments PCIe-1477 supports Camera Link Base, Medium, and Lite, 72-bit, Full, and 80-bit configurations. The four camera link lines of this device can be configured to generate and control synchronized timing signals for controlling frame rates, exposure time, and many other camera acquisition control signals.
The NI PCIe-1477 Image Acquisition Device includes 2048 MB of onboard, DDR3 class SDRAM that supports up to 10.66 GB/s peak throughput. This memory can be directly accessed and controlled by the user through the LabVIEW FPGA application. The NI PCIe-1477 can power PoCL enabled cameras directly- eliminating the need for an external power supply. However, this feature can be used with PoCL capable cameras only. The PCIe-1477 Frame Grabber Device is fully compatible with the Camera Link 2.1 camera standard and comes with one 26-pin SDR type camera connector.
