National Instruments PCIe-7821 Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Will the PCIe-7821 perform hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) tests?

Answer: Yes, the PCIe-7821 can perform hardware-in-the-loop tests and bit error rate tests.

Question: Can I connect my expansion chassis (typically a NI-9151 R Series) to my main chassis using a PCIe-7821 card?

Answer: The PCIe-7821 card does not support the NI 9151 R Series expansion chassis. You could try the NI PXI/PCI/PCIe-781X, 783XR, 784X or 785XR cards with this chassis instead.

Question: How do I erase user-defined flash memory on my NI PCIe-7821 card?

Answer: In order to erase user-defined flash memory on the NI PCIe-7821 card, you need a calibration password and calibration comments. The default factory password for the PCIe-7821 is NI. To reset the password, go into LabVIEW and follow the prompts to calibrate.
