National Instruments PXIe-7847 PXI Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module
Featured with 512 MB DRAM and a Kintex-7 160T FPGA, the NI PXIe-7847 (Part Numbers: PXIe-7847R and 784144-01) is a Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module from the R Series by National Instruments. This module is designed for PXI Express and comes with 8 AI, 8 AO, and 48 DIO. The NI PXIe-7847 offers connectors for eight analog input channels. In addition to AI+ and AI- pins, each analog input channel has an AIGND pin, to which both differential voltage or single-ended signals can be connected. The AISENSE pin is used to connect non-referenced single-ended signals.
The PXIe-7847 has a Digital I/O Connector 0 that contains 16-low speed DIO channels. Another interface, Connector 1 is also on the module with 32 high-speed DIO channels. Both connectors have selectable logic levels. In its default configuration, the NI PXIe-7847 uses pull-down resistors to initiate the DIO channels as “input low”. However, users can have their desired power-on state configured across all DIO lines. In this module, protected buffers are utilized for facilitating secure connections between the Kintex-7 160T FPGA and digital input/output channels. The integrated protection scheme offers adequate protection against overvoltage, overcurrent, and under-voltage conditions.
This Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module offers direction control of digital input/output channels on a per channel basis and programmable voltage selection on the per connector basis. As far as its physical characteristics are concerned, the PXIe-7847 weighs around 171.2 g, with dimensions of 18.5 cm × 17.3 cm × 3.6 cm. This module is compatible with PXI Express and PXI Express Hybrid slots.
