National Instruments PXIe-7865 PXI Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module
The PXIe-7865 from National Instruments (Part Number: 787355-01) is a versatile Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module that offers unparalleled flexibility and precision to testing and control applications. This module is equipped with cutting-edge technology that allows for user-programmable FPGA onboard processing and direct control over I/O signals.
The PXIe-7865 is designed for optimal performance across multiple applications and settings. It boasts 24 analog outputs, 2 analog inputs, and 32 5V digital I/O channels that are tolerant of input variations. The PXIe-7865's Kintex-7 160T FPGA provides versatilty- from simulating sensors and regulating high-speed operations to performing hardware testing and custom protocol communication. Additionally, the dedicated A/D converter of the PXIe-7865 provides independent timing, individual channel triggering, and multirate sampling.
For seamless data transfer, the PXIe-7865 includes peer-to-peer streaming for direct communication with other PXI Express modules. With its comprehensive range of functionalities, this module is perfect for use in a variety of fields, including aerospace, defense, automotive, and industrial automation.
The NI PXIe-7865 is designed for superior performance and accuracy. The module is equipped with two AI channels, which come complete with an AI+, AI-, and AIGND pin. This means that both single-ended and differential voltage signals can be accommodated. This module also features 24 analog output channels, with each channel equipped with an AO pin and AOGND pin for eNasy load connection. The DIO lines of the PXIe-7865 can be configured to receive logic signals from 5 V TTL, 3.3 V LVCMOS, and 3.3 V LVTTL. making them compatible with most TTL devices. This versatility allows for easy implementation into your existing designs without any extra work. When configured as outputs, they can send signals to the aforementioned devices.
The DIO channels connect to the FPGA through digital bus switches, which provide overvoltage and undervoltage protection as well as over-current protection with a Positive Thermal Coefficient (PTC) resistor. To ensure the best signal quality, all high-speed DIO channels on Connector 1 are routed with a 50 Ω characteristic trace impedance. The DIO channels are set as input low with pull-down resistors when the system powers on.
