PXIe-7867, 18-Channel AO, PXI Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module
National Instruments PXIe-7867 PXI Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module
Featured with a Kintex-7 160T FPGA and a dedicated Successive approximation register (SAR) ADC per channel, the National Instruments PXIe-7867 (Part Numbers: PXIe-7867R and 785570-01) is a PXI Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module. The user-programmable FPGA incorporated in this module offers onboard processing and direct controlling of I/O signals.
The NI PXIe-7867 has 18 analog output channels directly connected to the FPGA, enabling the user to swiftly design for applications where precise timing is required, such as custom protocol communication, high-speed control, sensor simulation, etc. This model offers individual channel triggering and multi-rate sampling, which are features outside the capabilities of most common typical data acquisition hardware. In addition, the PXIe-7867 also offers peer-to-peer streaming for direct transfer of data to other PXI Express modules.
This Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module offers 6 AI, 18 AO, and 48 DIO. Since it is an x4 PXI Express specification v 1.0 compliant module, the NI PXIe-7867 is compatible with x4, x8, x16 PXI Express, and PXI Express hybrid slots. The NI PXIe 7867 comes equipped with three 68-pin VHDCI I/O connectors and 16 DMA channels. This module supports data transfers in DMA, programmed I/O, as well as in interrupt mode. The onboard DRAM installed is 512 MB and has 800 MB/s theoretical data rate.
The FPGA incorporated in this module offers 202,800 flip-flops, 101,400 LUTs, 11,700 Kbits embedded block RAM, and 600 f DSP48 slices. Like other models from the R Series, this module allows the user to set their desired power-on states.
