SCC-AI02, ±20 V Input, ±10 V Output, 10 kHz, Isolated Analog Input Module
National Instruments SCC-AI02 Isolated Analog Input Module
The NI SCC-AI02 (Part Number: 777459-21) is from the SCC-AI Series by National Instruments. This Isolated Analog Input Module is designed to capture a low-amplitude input signal so the DAQ model from the E/M Series can measure the input signal. The power to extract signals from high-common-mode voltage systems makes this module a brilliant solution. The SCC-AI02 is a 10 kHz bandwidth model with ±20 V and ±10 V, input/output range and 0.5 gain.
This Isolated Analog Input Module can work with any 68-pin E/M Series DAQ device, SC-2345/2350 and is compatible with the latest version of NI-DAQmx. It can be programmed using software packages or application development environments (ADEs) such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, or Measurement Studio. The device can be configured using the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool. The NI SCC-AI02 features two input channels and is designed to operate at 1 MΩ input impedance. In addition, this module is developed to perform with .5% max gain error, 50 PPM/°C gain stability, 40 mV max (RTI2) offset error, and 225 μV/°C Offset stability. This module operates at 00 dB typical (at 60 Hz frequency) common-mode rejection ratio and has a 0.8 V/μs max output slew rate. The device has an analog power requirement of up to 410 mW max, with a digital power requirement of 650 mW maximum at +5 V.
The National Instruments SCC-AI02 Isolated Analog Input Module can provide 60 VDC continuous channel-to-earth isolation, as well as 2300 Vrms withstand isolation. This model features a 20-pin, male, right-angle I/O connector and 1 x 4-pin screw terminal (removable). Since the SCC-AI02 is a Measurement Category I rated device, it can carry signal voltages up to 42.4 V peak or 60 VDC. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 to 50 °C, a storage temperature range of –20 to 70 °C, and a non-condensing relative humidity of 10 to 90%. The module is designed and manufactured to satisfy the requirements of the relevant safety standards, such as IEC 61010-1, UL 61010-1, EN 61010-1, CSA 61010-1, EN 61326 (IEC 61326), EN 55011 (CISPR 11), and AS/NZS CISPR 11.

National Instruments SCC-AI02 Frequently Asked Questions
Question: What is the bandwidth of the NI SCC-AI02?
Answer: The bandwidth of the NI SCC-AI02 is 10 kHz.
Question: Can you use the SCC AI02 in a dual-stage configuration?
Answer: If you use the SCC AI02 in a dual-stage configuration in an SC-2345, the SCC-AI02 must be the first-stage module. Plug it into any socket J(X+9) and plug the second-stage SCC module into socket J(X+1), where X is 0 to 7.
Question: Does the SCC-AI02 provide isolation between two channels?
Answer: The SCC-AI02 provides channel-to-ground and module-to-module isolation only. It does not provide isolation between the two channels of the SCC-AI02.
