SCC-AI04, 4 V Input Range, 2 NRSE Input Channels, Isolated Analog Input Module
National Instruments SCC-AI04 Isolated Analog Input Module
The National Instruments SCC-AI04 (Part Number: 777459-23) is a portable, modular signal conditioner designed for use in a DAQ system, comprising of an SC-2345 Series shielded carrier and a DAQ device. This module features 10 kHz bandwidth and a gain of 2. The input and output ranges of this device are ±5 V and ±10 V respectively. It has 2 NRSE input channels. This module is designed to provide working isolation up to 300 V for current and voltage input/output signals. For higher measurement accuracy and resolution, the NI SCC-AI04 Isolated Analog Input Module can amplify and filter the signals received as an input.
This module can easily be used with a broad range of measurement devices, such as sensors, accelerometers, thermocouples, RTDs, strain gauges, etc. The SCC-AI04 has various useful features, including relay switching, frequency input acceptance, an isolated voltage output, isolated current output, and lowpass filtering. These features make it an ideal, viable, and cost-effective solution. The device has an analog power requirement of up to 410 mW, and a digital power requirement of 650 mW maximum.
With the help of relay modules, the user can add a switching capability to their SSC DAQ system. The provision of module cascading allows the user to cascade two NI SCC-AI04 modules. Thus, the user can pass the analog input signal through an attenuator, as well as a filter module. Its integrated filter has 3 poles. Like any other module from the SCC-AI Series, the SCC-AI04 comes with two input channels, with the provision of bank isolation. This module can operate with 50 PPM/ °C gain accuracy and a gain error of 4.5% maximum. It is equipped with 1 20-pin right-angle male connector and 1 4-pin screw terminal.
The SCC-Al04 is run using the NIDAQmx driver software which can be programmed using software packages such as LabVIEW or LabWindows/CVI. It can be configured using the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool.
The SCC-Al04 weighs 1.0 oz. It has recommended operating and storage temperature ranges of 0 to 50 °C and –20 to 70 °C respectively, and a non-condensing humidity range of 10 to 90% RH.
