National Instruments SCC-LP02 Lowpass Filter Module

The SCC-LP02 (Part Number: 777459-08) is a reliable Lowpass Filter Module from National Instruments with the capability to apply low pass filters for the input signals in SCC systems. This model has an input signal range of ± 10 V and a wide-band noise (DC to 1 MHz, RTI) of 100 microvolts for the RMS noise voltage. The NI SCC-LP02 has the capability to plug into any analog input socket on the SC-2345. The module also offers functionality as a single-stage module. This module guarantees connectivity of input signals with the module. The signal’s source may be floating or ground referenced. The SCC-LP02 module's input circuitry comes with a high impedance bias resistor, which is applicable for floating sources.

The National Instruments SCC-LP02 Lowpass Filter Module offers a cutoff frequency of 50 HZ, along with a typical input bias current of ± 2 n Amperes. This module has an Antialiasing filter application. This application removes high-frequency signals for the E Series DAQ device. The SCC-LP02 also removes signal components with frequencies greater than the Nyquist limiting frequency. The Nyquist frequency comprises one half of the sampling rate and helps prevent the aliasing. The aliasing causes a high-frequency signal. This signal can take the identity of a low-frequency signal. The NI SCC-LP02 has the capability to reconstruct the original signal. The device is equipped with 1 20-pin right-angle male connector and 1 4-pin screw terminal I/O connectors.

The National Instruments SCC-LP02 Lowpass Filter Module comes with I/O pins on the bottom to enable the signal connections for the module. The module can also cascade with other SCC modules. This feature enables the module to be utilized in low pass filtering applications. Pins 17 to 20 are used for cascading.

The SCC-LP02 weighs 1.3 oz, and measures 3.50 x 1.15 x 0.73 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 to 50 °C, a storage temperature range of –20 to 70 °C, and a non-condensing relative humidity range of 10 to 90% RH. The module is designed to comply with the following electrical safety standards: IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 3111-1, UL 61010B-1, and CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 1010.1.
