National Instruments SCC-TC01 Thermocouple Input Module

The NI SCC-TC01 (Part Number: 777459-03) is a single-channel Thermocouple Input Module. This module is used for conditioning signals from various thermocouple types. These thermocouple types use millivolt inputs. The range of the millivolt inputs for this module is -100 mV to +100 mV. This Thermocouple Input Module uses an analog input with a value of 60 mW for its power requirement. It works best at a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. The optimal range of its working temperatures is 15 to 35 degrees Celsius.

The NI SCC-TC01 Thermocouple Input Module includes a 2-prong uncompensated thermocouple jack. This jack accepts any miniature male two-prong thermocouple plug. This jack also accepts any subminiature male two-prong thermocouple plug. The SCC-TC01 includes a low-pass filter of 2 Hz. This module has an instrumentation amplifier with a gain of 100. This module also includes buffered outputs. These buffered outputs support maximum scanning rates. This Thermocouple Input Module comes equipped with an onboard thermistor, which can be utilized for the compensation of cold-junction.

The NI SCC-TC01 module offers overvoltage protection up to +42V for data acquisition devices. The maximum value of the gain error is +0.08% of reading.  The input working voltage for this module is +12 Volts maximum. The SCC-TC01 Thermocouple Input Module has a normal powered-on input impedance of 10 MΩ.  The value of the powered-off or overload input impedance is 10 kΩ.  It provides an output of 1.91V at 0 degrees Celsius. This output goes up to 0.58 V at 55 degrees Celsius.
