National Instruments 777687-02 Terminal Block
Part Number 777687-02 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments SCXI-1302 Terminal Block. It is a front-mount terminal block equipped with 50 screw terminals to facilitate easy signal connection. The 777687-02 terminal block is commonly used with the SCXI-1180 Feedthrough Panel, offering a shielded configuration to ensure robust signal integrity during operation.
The 777687-02 offers a DC rejection capacity of ±50 VDC and integrates with NIDAQmx driver software, enabling compatibility with various development environments. Likewise, it features a corner frequency of 0.16 Hz, utilizing a 1-pole RC configuration to ensure effective signal processing and noise reduction. The terminal block supports wire gauges ranging from 26 to 16 AWG.
To ensure proper installation and operation of the 777687-02 with the feedthrough panel, the following accessories are needed: the SCXI-1302 Installation Guide, an SCXI chassis, No. 1 and No. 2 Phillips-head screwdrivers, 1/4 in. and 1/8 in. flathead screwdrivers, long-nose pliers, a wire cutter, and a wire insulation stripper. The 777687-02 does not measure voltage unless it’s connected to another SCXI model.
The Terminal Block can be mounted on both rack and DIN rail systems and includes strain-relief clamps to maintain the security of wire connections. During signal connection, the stripped insulation must be no more than 7 mm while the torque on the screw terminal should range between 5-7 in.-lb.
To install the 777687-02 to the SCXI module, first, the module front connector should be connected to the mating connector on the terminal block. Then, the top and bottom thumbscrews on the back of the terminal block must be tightened. Most importantly, if the terminal block requires cleaning, you should clean it by brushing off light dust with a soft, nonmetallic brush. Likewise, other contaminants should be removed using deionized water and the module must completely dry before it is put into operation.
The National Instruments NIDAQmx driver software, which effortlessly interfaces with LabVIEW and other development platforms, is completely compatible with the 777687-02, enabling efficient data acquisition and control. The safety standards that the module conforms with include IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 61010-1, and CSA 61010-1.
